I love how you can tell who your painting instructor was at Yavapai just by looking at the assignments. The emphasis of the skull image is the center of the painting since the quartered color arrangement forces the eye to move constantly back and forth between the quadrants. In the first and third images the emphasis is on the eye, with the third image having a shape issue under and around her nose that is quite distracting. The flowing lines and shadows of the hair are so successful in this piece that I would love to see you revisit the nose and mouth shapes again. Overall, very well done.
I love how your paintings are stippling, yet your eye has a nice smooth feminine quality to it.The skull is very visually interesting to. I love the contrast on how the purple square reseeds, while the red square comes forward. Great glazing effect I also like the interesting. Your third piece, the mouth does have some problems to it. I don't think it has the same quality shading as the rest of the face, and i feel like it's not int he right perspective or something. Like its not really fitting on the face right. Other wise good job.
