Set 1, Design and Layout

My first collection of images will be focused around Graphic Design and layouts on different medias. Showing my work in logo design, collateral design, and use of layout.

Personal Logo and Brand Design

I really enjoyed finally having the opportunity to develop an image for myself professionally and finding something a little bit more recognizable than a signature to put on my work. I have used this logo ever since on all of my projects.



Threshold Cover Design

My personal take at the Threshold book cover design, and my first book cover design. Putting a single panel on top of all the fantastic artwork inside is not very easy, but I wanted the artwork to be the main focus with the words and info falling secondary into the background.




PUSD Logo and Mobile Webpage design

A fictional project. I wanted to redesign and update a logo that I had seen all my childhood and this was also an exercise in building and designing an iPad friendly webpage/publication.

    The Logo Design and variations really look good. A change to the layout may be more effective. On your computer, turn the image upside down. Then look away from the image for 20 to 30 seconds. This lets your eyes forget what they saw. Then face the image and remember where your eye wants to wander to. If this is where you want your clients to go, you are done. But blue pushes me away and white attracts my attention. Use some other colors to guide the viewer.

    Your personal identity piece has a real strong contemporary/corporate feel. I have enjoyed it from the day you first made it. Can't wait to see more of your work online.

    Wilson, everything you do is beautiful. One thing you might try with your logo layout stuff, the first piece, yeah that one, is to use the grey effect that you have on the envelope in more of the work to tie it together. For instance it might look super duper awesome if you used it on the business card. Just a thought, you're beautiful.

    Hi Wilson, You have done a fantastic job on presentation of your logo and collateral pieces, and also on your cover design for Threshold. Besides the good design in both, I really like the way you photographed them for presentation on this blog. Nicely done. Jaime
