  1. I really enjoy your unique style of painting and your use of bold bright colors. In your piece “Der Krug Band”.The first thing I see is the bright red color of the center subject’s jacket, which contrasts boldly with complementary colors of the background, this immediately places the emphasis on this central figure. Some of the other subjects are simply strong geometric shapes of color, where the use of outlining them which thick contrasting lines to define their shape, keeps them subdued. So while the viewer’s eye may move around the image to inspect the other details, it is brought back to the focal point very quickly because the viewer does not get lost in too many other details drawing their eye away form the intended focal point.

  2. I feel like the center portrait is about to tell me where I can stick it. The personality really comes through and I think the loose texture of the jacket assists in that feeling. His head isn't perfectly balanced in the image but the weight of the jacket offsets it perfectly. The bottom portrait is slightly disproportionate in height but the texture you have created with your loose strokes and bold colors convey a bold personality and invite the viewer into the scene. Well done!
