  1. Hi Clara, Tarnished Brass is eye-catching. The repeated circular shapes draws the viewer into the composition. I really like how you've placed the type within the circles. Your Photoshop skills are evident. Nice work. Jaime

  2. I find all 3 pieces eye-catching. My favorite is Gentleman Steam. The shapes made by the lay-out of the vertical figure with the info banners at 45 degrees in the mid-section of the figure emphasizes subject matter of what I'm calling "the poster". Also the shades of grey of the overall image with the splashes of color in the text bring further emphasis and interest in the poster.

I also like the Queen of Burlesque. For me, the centerpiece should be the left-hand card as this card is the Queen. Although my eyes see the dark card in the center first (which is wonderful - don't get me wrong), but my eyes then immediately shift to the left card. This card is so well done and so exemplifies the title of the piece, I want it to be in the center. The shape of the figure in the left card is striking. I really like the shapes of the clubs (I think) in the right card. The shapes of these clubs really blends with the old-time feeling of burlesque. I like the middle card. The shapes, like the clubs, have that old-time feeling of the burlesque era. The emphasis of the shapes in the card brought by the colors you used are tastefully muted to represent that era. What talent you have with photoshop. I am envious.

  3. Thank you both very much. I like the repeated shapes too in Tarnished Brass, they were fun to do!
Yes the poster Gentleman Steam was for a Graphic Design II project so I was restricted by the guidelines to certain parameters but i had artistic freedom for the background and layout so it worked out very well.
As for the Queen of Burlesque the order of the cards was per the Graphic Design assignment as well. I agree that she should be in the middle.
Thank you both for your compliments they are appreciated.
