My goal during each of these pictures was to create an illusion of darkness. To practice colors that gives a glow to the picture. It is something different that I don't normally do, but it was also a lot of fun to great each of these. I did these on Paint tool Sai, a digital painting program. Each took me about 4 hours each. Enjoy!

Kevin, I'm not going to comment on your work as I am trying my hand at commenting on fine art that I am unfamiliar with as a medium such as ceramics, painting and drawings.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I want you to know that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE El Gato Azul. If you ever print this on a note card, let me know as I will buy some. I know lots of fellow cat lovers such as myself who would love this too.
Thank you so much for your interest. The El Gato Azul is actually a piece i did for a up coming Gallery. I will be printing 20 copies of this piece, so if you, or some of your friends would like one, please Email me for more information or questions. Thank you so much again ( A-smek@hotmail.com )
ReplyDeleteThough I especially like your cat all of your paintings capture the essence of darkness I think, but I am biased to the color blue.
DeleteKevin;
ReplyDeleteYour digital paintings are quite lovely! I especially enjoy "Blue Lelouch" has a nice line and value to it. The red hair draws the viewer in and and the line of continuation brings you to her gave and keeps you there, wondering what it is she has to tell you :)
I love El Gato Azul. The cat is symmetrically balanced and the colors are striking. You made the fur look very realistic, like you can almost feel the texture and the softness.
