Photoshop Set 2

Title: "A Hobbit's Journey"
Media: Digital
Size: 8" x 10"
Date Completed: Spring 2012
This project for was my final for Photoshop II. My inspiration for this montage was "The Hobbit" and took original photographs taken from around Prescott and re-created Bilbo Baggins journey to the Lonely Mountain. The first image is the "before" photo of an old log found in the forest with the second image using the same log but recreated into a proper hobbit hole with a bright blue sky and a solid door. The third image is of another hollowed-out log found in the forest with an oil paint effect applied to create the dark and distorted feel of Mirkwood Forest. The final image is of Granite Mountain recreated as The Lonely Mountain. I used an image of a sunset and overlayed it with dragon scales to create a fire-breathing dragon mood representation.

Title: "Taargus Wear, Sunglasses for the Working Man"
Media: Digital Photography
Size: 8" x 10"
Date Completed: Spring 2013
This project was for Digital Photography I. We had to create a sunglasses ad using photographs taken of our fellow classmates. I created the logo brand name and my original photograph using the photo touch-ups of my model. The look for my ad that I was going for was chic and upscale, something that represented "the working man" in action.

  1. Hi Sunshine, I really like your Hobbit Hole. It's great that you showed us your source image. It's clear you are very comfortable with Photoshop. I am very impressed with the way you handled the sunglasses assignment, placing the ad in believable applications. Nice work. Jaime
